Your Treatment

Your treatment will be carried out by fully qualified and registered clinicians in our purpose built clinic room. Changing, shower and toilet facilities are available. We are also able to tailor your treatment visits to suit your requirements with evening and weekend appointments available. Your treatment can be broken down into the following stages: 1. Consultation. An initial consulation will discuss your requirements and the options available to you. 2. Impression. A copy of the area to be treated is taken, this is done using a gel like material such as alginate or using a 3D scanner. We may also take a copy of the opposing area for reference. 3. Prototype Fitting. This involves trying on a prototype of the prosthesis made in wax or clay. This allows adjustments in shape and fit to be made before it is moulded. 4. Colour Match. The silicone for your prosthesis will be individually coloured to your skin, including specific areas of colour, freckles, veins etc. 5. Fitting of Prosthesis. The completed prosthesis is tried on, minor colour adjustments made and guidance on attachment cleaning and care given. The length of your treatment will depend on the work required. The normal treatment times are: Nipple: 1 day Nose or Ear: 2 days Eye: 3 days
